I’m Clare McDonough, and I help people break free from the mental roadblocks that have been holding them back. If you feel stuck, frustrated, or like you’ve tried everything with no success, you’re in the right place.
I know first-hand how powerful the mind is. Hypnotherapy changed my life, helping me quit smoking (overnight) and even supporting my fertility journey. That experience ignited my passion for helping others create real, lasting change, often much more easily than they ever expected.
Now, as a hypnotherapist based in Lancashire, I work with people worldwide through online sessions as well as in-person. Whether it’s anxiety, low self-esteem, confidence building, goal achieving, or fertility challenges, I help you rewire your mind-set and unlock your true potential. No awkward therapy couches, no long-winded self-analysis, just real, effective change.
Having lived in six different countries, I know what it’s like to navigate big life changes and the stress that comes with them. That experience has given me a deep understanding of how our minds work under pressure, and more importantly, how to get them working for us instead of against us.
My Approach
Forget willpower and struggle, real transformation happens when we work with the subconscious mind, not against it. My approach blends hypnotherapy with mindfulness coaching, helping you shift deep-seated beliefs, rewire thought patterns, and step into the confident, empowered version of yourself.
I’m not just talking theory here. I’ve personally overcome addiction and fertility struggles (you can read more about my journey here), and I know what it takes to make meaningful, lasting change. That’s why I trained extensively in hypnotherapy, starting with a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology. I also have specialised training in Mindfulness and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (MCBT) to help bring both conscious and subconscious transformation together.
